Hi, I am Oscar...I am a very distinguished young man that loves almost everyone. I am a little snooty but if I think you are worthy of my affection I will give it to you. I am around 8ish and I weigh 13 lbs!!! I was dumped at a High Kill Shelter in SC looking pretty rough and I also had Heart worms and bad teeth...well all that is now fixed. I have undergone heart worm treatment and I am about to get a dental to make my teefies all shiny and sparkling. I am completely vetted and up to date on all of my shots! I would like a quiet mature home to live. You may have kids but they need to be like the kids I currently live with. Calm and well mannered and loving. So they should be at least 12yrs old. No little screaming banshees as my nerves can't take it. I am house broken, crate trained and I have exceptional leash manners. I also know how to use a doggy door.

My Brother Bert and I ended up at a high kill shelter due to no fault of our own. My background is unknown, but I was loved and trained. That is all we know! About Me I love to snuggle and I love to look out of windows, any windows or doors if they are open I am looking out to see what is going on. Super nosy, what that means is the following, if you move I am right behind you. If you try to leave the room I am on your heels and will sneak by you like lightning. If you try to leave the house without me I am on to you and will dart past you like a lightning rod. I am a Ninja Dachshund on the move. No, I do not have separation anxiety. I just want to be with you and go with you. I may miss something if I don’t. Holes in the fence? I am out of there. Loose fence boards? I am out of there. Yep, that is right, no matter how well I am loved and cared for I am always looking to see what other people are doing. They say a happy dog stays at home. Not when you are as nosy as I am!

Hi There, My name is Jazzy Jay or JJ to my friends. I am a Double Dapple Male Standard Dachshund weighing in at 18 lbs. I am still 2 lbs under weight but that is being fixed. Based on my Veterinarian we think that I am around three years young. I was found wandering on a country road in South Caroline when a nice Samaritan found me and took me to the local dog pound. This is where CLHR came and rescued me. I like toys and I love to lay in the sun and sniff flowers. My fur was stained with urine so we think that I might have been living in a cruddy pen outside. However all that is changing as I am adjusting to the life of a spoiled Dachshund. I LOVE to lay on the couch with my foster mom and I like to sit at the window and look outside at the birds. I live with a foster brother who is a larger dog. I love everyone. I specifically love kids that will play with me and love on me...I have also never met a dog I did not like. See the perfect package for your family :)

Cayenne's perfect home is an ACTIVE home that loves to play and interact with her. A laid back couch potato home will not do for this Diva...She is young and full of fun! Dachshund Adoption - Adopt Pia a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Dachshund / Mixed dog in GreenvilleAdopt Pia a Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut Dachshund / Mixed dog in Greenville

Greenville, SC

Pia is a super wonderful little girl. She suffers from CDLS Chronic Dachshund Licking Syndrome...she air licks and she will lick you unless you pet her. That is 1 way to get her to stop for a bit :) Pia weighs 7 lbs!!! She is 4 yrs young!!! Pia came to us via a Hoarder/Backyard breeder. She had little to no social skllls when she 1st arrived and tried to eat every human she saw. We have spent a lot of time with her training her that humans are OK. She does take a bit to warm up and is a typical Dachshund that LOVES her humans. She will try to guard you from intruders and from anyone that she thinks will hurt you...she has her little grrr grrr grrr down pat. Pia needs a Dachshund Experienced mature family or person to adopt her. No children since we do not trust her to be nice if they reach for her without warning. Pia is a love bug once she knows you and would not hurt a fly, however the key is to get to know her. She gets along with most dogs and ignores cats.
